My Plan & Campaigns

Below is my 6-point plan for the 2024 General Election. 

I care deeply about our local area – it is where I was born, brought up and where I have lived my whole life. My focus is and always will be Burton and Uttoxeter.

Despite global challenges, we've achieved so much: millions in towns investment, extra police and improved broadband. In Westminster, I've shown integrity and stood up for what I believe is right.

I firmly believe that politics needs more MPs who diligently serve their residents. That is why I am standing again to be your Member of Parliament I look forward to delivering on our plan over the coming years.

  • Restoring pride in our town centres

    Having secured millions of pounds of investment for our towns, I will fight tooth and nail to deliver a brewing museum that does justice to Burton’s heritage, ensure Burton’s Market Hall is used to its full potential and that the upgrades to the Maltings in Uttoxeter are delivered.

  • Securing a cancer diagnostic centre

    1 in 2 people are affected by cancer in their lifetime. Quicker diagnosis saves lives. I will do everything it takes to secure a cancer diagnostic centre for our community if I am re-elected. 

  • Tackling congestion hotspots

    I secured millions of pounds of funding to unblock the congestion on the A50 corridor and want this work to start as soon as possible. I will also campaign to secure funding to tackle congestion around the Derby Turn roundabout and towards Burton police station.

  • Ensuring the police and local council for our community

    I recognise that some services, including police response times, are not meeting your expectations. I’m working with our Police, Fire and Crime, Commissioner, Ben Adams, campaigning for more officers in our community and quicker response times, so that you and your family feel safe.

  • Attracting new industry to support new jobs

    High skilled jobs mean better pay and more spending in our town centres, which benefits the local economy. I will fly the flag for Burton and Uttoxeter when meeting business leaders, identifying opportunities to bring businesses to our area.

  • Supporting our pubs and brewers

    Pubs are the heart of our communities, and I have continually stood up to support our pubs and brewers. I have secured support and relief for pubs and brewers in previous budgets and will continue to work with the sector to protect Burton’s key industry.
