Since elected, Kate has heard cases from many unhappy and worried constituents that their newly-built homes are not built to the standards anyone would expect or that they have had repeated issues with them.
Residents then have to spend huge amounts of time and money chasing the developers to rectify issues. Today, Kate Griffiths MP raised this again with the Secretary of State for Housing and was pleased to hear of the assurances he gave along with the new ombudsman for new-build homeowners.
