"This is incredibly worrying news for JCB and its staff, my thoughts are with them all at this difficult time. I have already been in touch with JCB and will continue to do so over the coming days and weeks to see what can be done to support their dedicated and hardworking staff during this time.
COVID-19 has created an unprecedented situation for businesses, facing challenges they could not have predicted just a few months ago. JCB have faced difficult situations before but thanks to swift action they have always come back and this places them in good stead to do so again. I will continue to work with Government colleagues to ensure our local businesses and employers get the support they need to restructure their businesses in the face of this crisis."
