Burton and Uttoxeter’s Member of Parliament, Kate Griffiths, has today (26th April) welcomed local businesses and producers to the House of Commons ahead of Staffordshire Day taking place on Sunday 1st May.
The event in Westminster saw local business owners, potters, brewers and farmers travel to the capital to showcase to MPs and Lords the brilliance of Staffordshire and all that the county has to offer.
Local businesses and organisations that took part in the event included Molson Coors; Staffordshire Cheese Company; JCB; Drayton Manor Theme Park; Staffordshire Gin Company and Staffordshire Wildlife Trust amongst many others.
Staffordshire Day is an annual event which aims to promote the county as a tourist destination and to highlight and raise the profile of the county’s businesses and products. “It was great to welcome the local delegation of businesses to Parliament including Burton’s largest employer, Molson Coors, ahead of Staffordshire Day. Staffordshire Day is going from strength to strength each year and is raising the profile of our great county and its people.
