Commenting on the news that East Staffordshire has been successfully awarded £3,822,892 from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Kate Kniveton MP said:

I am delighted that East Staffordshire has been awarded £3,822,892 from the Government’s new UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

This is excellent news for Burton and Uttoxeter and will make a big difference to efforts for levelling up our local area.

Since I was elected, I have worked incredibly hard to secure new additional investment for our local area and town centres, and pushed for more opportunities for residents to have their say on how this funding is spent.

I will continue to push for more investment for our area and work with local authorities and residents to see how best this money can be used to level up Burton and Uttoxeter.
