Local Member of Parliament, Kate Kniveton visited Tradeteam in Burton on Thursday 19th May, for an overview of the business and a tour of the facilities. Based in Eastern Avenue, Tradeteam is part of the DHL logistics company and distributes leading beverage brands for the drinks industry’s most popular companies. Many of the UK beers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks are transported by Tradeteam on behalf of UK breweries, including those in Burton upon Trent.
The local MP met with the logistic company’s Vice President of Corporate Affairs UK & Ireland, James Stephens, Operations Director of DHL Tradeteam, David Colbeck, Public Affairs & Policy Manager, Ben Hodgson, and Site Manager, Steve Chinner.
As part of the visit, Kate Kniveton MP toured the Tradeteam depot to meet with members of staff and to hear about the process involved in transporting the popular drinks to hundreds of destinations across the UK.
Commenting, Kate Kniveton MP said:
“I would like to thank James, David, Ben and Steve from Tradeteam for their time, outlining their plans for the future and for showing me around the company’s Burton depot.
“Burton is the capital of British brewing and we have some of the biggest names in the business locally, but its only thanks to the efforts of companies like Tradeteam that these much-loved drinks are transported and enjoyed across the country.”
