Burton and Uttoxeter’s Member of Parliament, Kate Kniveton MP, has revealed the winner of her 2022 Christmas card competition.
The annual competition encourages primary and pre-school children to design the MP’s official Christmas card and is judged by Kate herself.
This year’s winner is Isabelle Fisher from Edge Hill Academy with her card design of a brightly decorated Christmas tree surrounded by holly leaves and colourfully wrapped presents.
Kate sends out her Christmas card to hundreds of people, including the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak. The local MP was pleased to be able to show the Prime Minister the winning design, who was very impressed with Isabelle's card entry and the festive feeling it conveyed.
This year’s runners-up are SaiDaksh Sundar from John of Rolleston Primary School; Katrina Bissoondeeal from Edge Hill Academy; and Ekam Kaur from River View Primary and Nursery School.
Commenting, Kate Kniveton MP said:
“Once again, I have received so many brilliant Christmas card designs from talented children across Burton and Uttoxeter, and I want to thank all the local nursery and primary children who have taken part – having to choose a winner is never easy!
“I want to congratulate this year’s winner, Isabelle Fisher, on her lovely design of a traditional Christmas tree as well as to the runners up in the 2022 competition. Well done to you all!”
