Burton and Uttoxeter Member of Parliament, Kate Kniveton, has launched her annual Christmas card competition.
The competition offers thousands of local pre-school and primary school children the opportunity to get creative to design the local MP’s Christmas card.
The competition, which is judged by Kate herself, will see the winning design used on the MP’s official 2023 Christmas card. The MP sends out a Christmas card to hundreds of people, including community leaders in the constituency and the Prime Minister in Westminster!
Participants, who either live or go to school in Burton, Uttoxeter, or the surrounding villages, must have been born on or after 1st September 2012. They can be as creative as they like using pencil, pen or paint etc—the only rule is no glitter!
All entries must be A4 portrait, and arrive by 20th November with their name, address and school enclosed.
Commenting, Kate Kniveton MP, said:
“I am delighted to once again be asking my younger constituents to get creative and to come up with a superb festive design for my Christmas card this year. With so many fantastic entries each year seems to be tougher at whittling it down but that goes to show what excellent artistic talent we have locally amongst our children.
“I would encourage as many children and schools locally to take part, good luck to everyone! I look forward to the entries arriving in my postbag!”
