Member of Parliament for Burton and Uttoxeter, Kate Kniveton, has today (27/10/22) launched her Christmas competition for 2022.
The competition, which has become a calendar staple and much-anticipated event of Ms Kniveton’s younger constituents, sees hundreds of local pre-school and primary school children submitting their entries to design the local MP’s Christmas card.
The competition, which will be judged by Kate, will see the winning design used on the MP’s official 2022 Christmas card. The MP sends out a Christmas card to hundreds of people, including community leaders in the constituency and Government ministers in Westminster!
Participants, who either live or go to school in Burton, Uttoxeter, or the surrounding villages, must have been born on or after 1st September 2011. They can be as creative as they like using pencil, pen or paint etc—the only rule is no glitter!
All entries must be A4 portrait, and arrive by 21st November with their name, address and school enclosed.
Commenting, Kate Kniveton MP, said:
“I am pleased to be launching my Christmas card competition for 2022. This is a fantastic opportunity for my younger constituents to get creative and have the chance to have their masterpiece on the front of my Christmas card.
“Seeing all the wonderful designs come through does not make my job of choosing a winner easy but I hope as many children as possible in Burton and Uttoxeter take part. Good luck to all those children who choose to take part and I look forward to seeing the designs being sent in shortly!”
