Kate Kniveton, the Member of Parliament for Burton and Uttoxeter, has announced the winner of her 2023 Christmas card competition.
The annual competition encourages primary and pre-school children to design the MP’s official Christmas card and is judged by Kate herself.
This year’s winner is Alice Berzan from River View Primary and Nursery School in Burton. Alice’s winning design shows off a colourful festive Santa sleigh.
Kate sends out her Christmas card to hundreds of people, including the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak.
The local MP was pleased to be able to share the winning design with the Prime Minister, who passed on his congratulations to Alice for her artistic talent.
Commenting, Kate Kniveton MP said:
“I want to thank all the children across Burton and Uttoxeter who have sent me some wonderful designs to choose from. It came as no surprises that this year’s Christmas card competition was, as ever, incredibly hard to judge.
“I’m pleased to announce Alice Berzan, from River View Primary and Nursery School as this year’s winner and was delighted to show off Alice’s wonderful design to the Prime Minister.
“I look forward to meeting Alice soon and being able to congratulate her in person for submitting this colourful design!
