Yesterday I was pleased to meet with Ben Adams, the Conservative candidate for Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner. We discussed the need for more police on the beat. As pledged in our manifesto, the recruitment of 20,000 more police officers is well underway and Ben confirmed that 90 of these will be coming to Staffordshire during the first allocation. Law abiding citizens should not have to live in fear of being the victims of crime.
