Speaking after her question in the House of Commons, Kate Griffiths MP said:
This afternoon in Parliament I asked the Minister, Neil O’Brien, from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities for an update on Burton’s Town Deal Plans.
The Town Deal Board has worked hard over the past two years, working with residents and community groups with a range of ideas, to reach an ambitious set of proposals for the future of our town that we can all be proud of.
The plans have now been submitted to Government and I am pleased that the Minister was able to commend in particular the riverside proposals and confirm that he hopes to sign off the plans shortly.
I was elected to secure town centre regeneration for Burton and I know that constituents and councillors alike can’t wait to get cracking at delivering these improvements and levelling up our area.
